THE PREDICTION

RB Leipzig have made an inconsistent start to the season and were unable to back up their 4-0 thrashing of Stuttgart as they fell to a 1-0 defeat away at Wolfsburg the week after, their second Bundesliga loss of the season. Bayern Munich in contrast have firmly clicked into gear since being held to 1-1 draw by Borussia Monchengladbach in their opening league match, winning their following four games in all competitions and racking up 23 goals in the process. Such attacking potency is likely to overwhelm Leipzig when taking into account the form of their attacking midfielders and particularly striker Robert Lewandowski, who netted a hat-trick in their 5-0 win over Hertha Berlin last time out. However, whilst the visitors are expected to come out on top here, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in three of their five fixtures played in all competitions so far this season and Leipzig will be confident of at least finding the net on their own ground against the champions. Therefore, both teams to score is also worth consideration.
