THE PREDICTION
Mark van Bommel’s reign as Wolfsburg head coach got off to the perfect start as his side secured a hard-fought 1-0 home win vs Bochum in their opening league game. They’ll be hoping to back this up with another positive result away at Hertha, who in contrast were beaten 3-1 away at FC Cologne in the final match of the opening round of Bundesliga fixtures. With home advantage in their favour here, Hertha represents far tougher opposition and are expected to tighten up significantly from a defensive perspective in a bid to get at least their first point on the board this season. This could lead to a frustrating encounter for Wolfsburg, who may struggle to break the hosts down and be forced to accept a point although in the grand scheme of things, four points from their opening two games is not a bad return at all under a new head coach.
