THE PREDICTION

Hamburger SV take a one-goal aggregate lead into this second-leg with Hertha staring relegation firmly in the face. They enter the Volksparkstadion cauldron with a huge task on their hands and simply must find a solution to their lack of attacking potency, which cost them in the first-leg. Hamburg were good value for their win in Berlin and all the momentum is in their favour with Tim Walter’s side having won each of their last five matches, racking up 14 goals across those games. It’s difficult not to see them finding the net at least once against this Hertha team, who are unlikely to find two goals in response when taking into account their chronic dearth of quality going forward, therefore the smart play would be to back a Hamburg win or draw via the double chance market.
