THE PREDICTION
Both Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt begin the new season with new head coaches. BVB will be led by Marco Rose, who left Borussia Monchengladbach to join the club and will be reunited with 21-year-old superstar Erling Haaland after the two worked together at RB Salzburg. Despite plenty of transfer interest over the summer and the departure of winger Jadon Sancho to Man Utd, striker Haaland appears to be staying and his goals will be key as to whether Dortmund can finally topple Bayern Munich’s long reign as Bundesliga kings. Frankfurt have also recruited a new head coach, bringing in Oliver Glasner after the Austrian returned Wolfsburg to the Champions League last season. It may take a little time for both of these two teams to hit top form in the Bundesliga as both coaches look to implement their style of football on the players. Therefore, individual ability is likely to be the difference in this match and the sheer ruthlessness of Haaland in front of goal, combined with extra firepower in the form of new big money signing Donyell Malen may be enough to see Dortmund over the line at home.
