THE PREDICTION

Having lifted the DFL-Supercup in midweek, Bayern Munich now look to secure their first win of this season’s Bundesliga in Julian Nagelsmann’s first home league game as head coach. Nagelsmann will be concerned about the fitness of first-choice goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, with an ankle injury potentially ruling him out of this match which may leave them further exposed defensively, having failed to keep a clean sheet in their first two matches in all competitions. Koln will head to Munich quietly optimistic following their 3-1 win over Hertha last weekend and it would be no surprise if they were to find the net against the hosts here. However, the offensive firepower of Bayern Munich should still see them comfortably triumph by at least two clear goals in this one.
