Felix Magath’s mission to rescue Hertha could not have got off to a better start as they stunned Hoffenheim in Magath’s first match in charge, ending a run of five straight defeats with a resounding 3-0 victory. Such a result will have done wonders for Hertha’s confidence and whilst a trip to high-flying Bayer Leverkusen is a massively tall order to get anything out of, Magath has inserted new-found belief into his players and they are not to be written off completely. With two weeks of work on the training ground, the fitness levels of Hertha are expected to be of a high standard and Leverkusen may well struggle to break them down across the 90 minutes. With that in mind, goals could be at a premium and backing under 2.5 goals looks a shrewd move.
