Two teams who struggled in their respective divisions last season lock horns on the opening weekend. Sandhausen finished 14th-place in the 2. Bundesliga, but Arminia Bielefeld were relegated from the Bundesliga and will no doubt be aiming to bounce back with immediate effect.
