THE PREDICTION

After a run of four straight victories to begin their 2. Bundesliga campaign, Jahn Regensburg saw their 100% league record come to an end at the hands of St. Pauli away from home as they fell to a 2-0 defeat ahead of the international break. A strong response is expected from Regensburg playing at home following two weeks of training, however Nurnberg won’t just roll over for them here. Nine points from their opening five league matches represents a good start for the visitors, who are yet to taste defeat in all competitions this season. With that in mind, a tight encounter appears to be in prospect with both teams well aware of their opponents’ capabilities going forward if they take any risks that leaves them exposed at the back. Whilst the outcome itself could go either way, backing under 2.5 goals represents a shrewd play with the two sides having each conceded just three league goals so far this season.
