THE PREDICTION

Depending on the results of the three teams above them, anything less than victory here could well end Hamburger SV’s hopes of finishing inside the top three and the pressure will be on them hugely against Hannover 96. No doubt the hosts are a stronger side than their lowly opponents, boasting superior players from an individual and team perspective across the pitch, but that doesn’t mean that Hannover 96 won’t pose a threat with no pressure on their shoulders heading into this match. Home advantage may well be crucial in that respect with the crowd giving the Hamburg players a much-needed boost and the hosts should ultimately prove too good for Hannover across 90 minutes at Volksparkstadion.
