THE PREDICTION

It has been a tough start to the 2. Bundesliga season for both Darmstadt 90 and Ingolstadt, with both having lost their opening two matches. Things lot worse for the former in their most recent fixture as they were knocked out of the DFB Pokal on penalties by 1860 Munich. At least Ingolstadt managed to navigate their way through to the next round with a 2-1 win over Erzgebirge Aue. However, that victory was at home and here they must travel to Darmstadt. Nerves may be present on both sides, knowing the ramifications of defeat and defensive stability is expected to be prioritised by both first and foremost. With each of them desperate to get their first point on the board, it would be no surprise if the two teams cancelled each other out and settled for a draw in this one.
