KupS bounced back from their UEFA Champions League first qualifying round defeat against Molde with a 2-1 victory against Mariehamn and they now go into this match looking to claim the three points which would move them to within touching distance of the current table toppers HJK. Victory for the hosts is not a formality, however, as TPS have shown some excellent fighting spirit in grinding out a pair of 1-0 wins against Inter Turku and HIFK in their last two outings. That triumph against Inter Turku was particularly eye-catching and if TPS show the same defensive resolve in this match they might well be able frustrate the home team and secure a point.
