THE PREDICTION
Spain’s 6-0 victory over Germany in November appeared to be some form of turning point but, then again, it didn’t. They come up against a side that was in complete disarray, and had been for a while. Prior to that victory, Spain had dropped four Nations League points against Ukraine and Switzerland. Their opening qualifiers have been a poor draw against Greece and a last-minute winner against Georgia after being a goal down at half-time. Luis Enrique has warned that he expects the poor performances will continue into this game. Kosovo began their third ever major tournament qualifying campaign with a 3-0 home defeat to an improving Sweden side. Despite Spain’s lacklustre start, they will expect to win quite comfortably here.
