THE PREDICTION
Haiti will be hoping to hit the ground running in this World Cup qualifying campaign as they have enjoyed some superb results in the last couple of years prior to the pandemic interrupting their progress. Their performances in the Gold Cup in 2019 especially were impressive as they lost to eventual winners Mexico in the semis after extra-time. They will look to get back on track and make a real push to qualify for the World Cup and they will fancy their chances in this opening game. They welcome Belize who themselves have shown some improved form in the last couple of years but their best performances have largely been on home turf. This is a tough assignment for them here and the hosts have to be favoured to get off to a winning start.
