THE PREDICTION
Newport County have a history of upsetting Premier Leagues sides at Rodney Parade in the FA Cup. In 2019, the League Two club defeated Leicester City at this stage of the competition and they’ll be hoping to take another top flight scalp here against Brighton. The Seagulls are in the midst of a battle to stay outside the relegation places and an FA Cup tie may not the most ideal fixture for them at present. Graham Potter is likely to heavily rotate his Brighton team and this could well give Newport a chance in this one. Whilst the Premier League side are still expected to come out on top here, Newport double chance is worth considering depending on the starting line-up that Brighton field on Sunday night.
