THE PREDICTION
Whilst on paper, Championship side Birmingham stand little chance of victory away at Man City. However, Aitor Karanka has previous history of cup success at the Etihad Stadium, with the Blues boss masterminding a 0-2 win at the home of City whilst in charge of Middlesbrough in the fourth round of the FA Cup back in 2015. Things have changed a lot since then however, with Pep Guardiola and a host of a new world class players now having made their home in Manchester. Birmingham will no doubt look to soak up as much pressure as they can with a view to taking advantage of any errors that Man City could make with the ball. However, when taking into account the strength of Man City’s squad despite a recent outbreak of Covid-19 within their camp, such resistance is likely to be futile with Guardiola’s men expected to win here by at least two clear goals.
