THE LOWDOWN

WOLVES

  • A dramatic comeback from two goals down saw Wolves steal an unlikely point away at Chelsea last Saturday, captain Conor Coady the hero after heading home deep into second-half stoppage time.
  • Attacker Daniel Podence has a faint chance of recovering from injury in time to play a part in this one, but defenders Nelson Semedo and Max Kilman are both out.

MAN CITY

  • Man City’s 5-0 thrashing of Newcastle, combined with Liverpool’s 1-1 draw against Tottenham leaves Pep Guardiola’s men firmly in the box seat in terms of the Premier League title race and victory at Molineux would leave them within touching distance of retaining their crown.
  • Guardiola has confirmed that defenders Kyle Walker, John Stones and Ruben Dias will all be out until the end of the season, the latter having picked up a hamstring injury against Newcastle, meaning that Nathan Ake will likely step in at centre-back alongside Aymeric Laporte.

THE PREDICTION

As shown at Stamford Bridge, Wolves will not give up even if they are behind the eight-ball and are expected to prove difficult to break down at a ground which has proven the undoing of Man City under Guardiola in the past. However, it’s difficult to see anyone or anything stopping the reigning champions on their march to another Premier League title and while this match is likely to be a tight one, the visitors should do enough to get over the line with a precious three points.

Tip: MAN CITY TO WIN
