THE LOWDOWN

WOLVES

  • Wolves’ excellent 0-2 victory over Tottenham last weekend was enough to leapfrog their opponents into seventh-place and whilst they may not remain in the same position once they kick-off here at Molineux, Bruno Lage’s side have put themselves in an excellent position to make a big push for the European places.
  • 19-year-old Luke Cundle impressed on his debut in Joao Moutinho's absence but the Portuguese midfielder has been passed fit to play against the Foxes and is likely to return to the starting line-up

LEICESTER

  • Leicester ended their winless run of five matches this past Thursday after defeating Danish side Randers 4-1 in the Europa Conference League in a totally dominating performance that must have boosted confidence among the Foxes’ squad.
  • Brendan Rodgers remains without numerous defenders and was forced to add James Justin to his injury list, with the full-back having to come off on Thursday and likely now set to miss the next couple of weeks, while Caglar Soyuncu picked up a knock and James Maddison is a doubt.

THE PREDICTION

Wolves come into this contest in a fantastic position having ended their mini goal drought in style last weekend and will now be looking to back this up at home. However, Leicester themselves are on the back of a good result and have the capability to match Wolves, the same side they beat 1-0 on the opening weekend of the season. Recent fixtures between these two down the years have been exclusively low scoring affairs with each of the last five matches seeing under 2.5 goals scored. With that in mind, the same outcome has to be favoured in this latest encounter, with the result itself capable of going either way.

Tip: UNDER 2.5 GOALS
