THE LOWDOWN

WOLVES

  • Wolves were devastated to be denied a fourth straight Premier League victory last weekend after conceding a late penalty against Leeds Utd, leading to a 1-1 draw at Elland Road.
  • Left-wing-back Fernando Marcal missed the trip to Yorkshire through injury and isn't likely to recover in time for this one, in which case Rayan Ait-Nouri will likely be afforded another start, whilst centre-back Wily Boly has shaken off illness and could feature.

EVERTON

  • After leading 2-1 at home to lowly Watford in the second half at Goodison Park last weekend, no one would have predicted what happened next as Rafael Benitez’s side collapsed in dramatic style, falling to a shock 2-5 defeat.
  • Midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure and striker Dominic-Calvert-Lewin remain out of action for Everton and will again prove big losses for the Toffees, although Brazilian Richarlison should feature from the start at Molineux after coming off the bench and scoring against old club Watford.

THE PREDICTION

In-form Wolves will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing an Everton side shaken on the back of two straight Premier League losses and smarting falling the humiliation dealt upon them by Watford. After weeks of close calls, head coach Bruno Lage’s hard work on the training is now paying off at Wolves and they look an extremely well-drilled unit combining a solid defensive core with an offensive threat that has proven lucrative in front of goal since the addition of Hwang Hee-chan. Hwang is proving the perfect foil to Raul Jimenez going forward for Wolves and the two are expected to play a key part for the hosts here. It would be no surprise if Wolves’ excellent recent form was to continue in this one against an Everton side expected to struggle without the class of Doucoure within their midfield and backing the home side draw no bet is to be favoured.

Tip: WOLVES DRAW NO BET
