THE LOWDOWN

WEST HAM

  • West Ham welcome Wolves knowing that they need to get back to winning ways quickly if they harbour any aspirations of returning to the top four, having been held in each of their last two Premier League fixtures.
  • The Hammers will be be without defenders Vladimir Coufal and Angelo Ogbonna, whilst attacking midfielder Manuel Lanzini is also unlikely to feature.

WOLVES

  • Despite their heartbreaking 2-1 defeat late on away at Arsenal this past Thursday night, Wolves remain well in the hunt for a European place come the end of the season and three points here would see them leapfrog their opponents in the table, a testament to how good a job Bruno Lage has done at the club.
  • The visitors looks strong on the injury front with full-back Nelson Semedo and centre-back Willy Boly the only players unlikely to be available for this fixture as previous long-term absentees Pedro Neto and Jonny have since returned to the squad.

THE PREDICTION

This is a fixture fraught with danger for West Ham who really need the three points, but at the same time will be well-aware just how strong an opponent Wolves are and that the visitors are more than capable of finding the net, before shutting the Hammers out and completing a domestic league double over them. With that in mind, the hosts are not expected to be too expansive going forward and with two strong defences on show, goals are likely to be at a premium as was the case in the reverse fixture at Molineux. The match outcome itself could go either way, but under 2.5 goals scored has to be favoured.

Tip: UNDER 2.5 GOALS
