THE LOWDOWN

WEST HAM

  • West Ham put their Europa League disappointment firmly behind them last weekend as they brushed past Norwich 0-4 at Carrow Road, Jarrod Bowen bagging a hat-trick of assists and Said Benrahma scoring twice.
  • Benrahma may not feature in this one however, with David Moyes revealed that he is a huge doubt due to an ankle problem, whilst both Craig Dawson and Michail Antonio both face late fitness tests.

MAN CITY

  • Man City were at their sublime best at Molineux in midweek, as they slayed Wolves 1-5 to maintain their three point lead at the top of the Premier League, led by the insatiable Kevin De Bruyne, who netted four goals and was unlucky not to get more.
  • Pep Guardiola’s defensive crisis has only gotten worse with Fernandinho and Aymeric Laporte both injured in their Wolves victory, although the latter could be passed fit in time for Sunday.

THE TEAM NEWS

UNAVAILABLE: Ogbonna (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Antonio (Injured), Benrahma (Injured), Dawson (Injured)

MAN CITY

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Ederson; Cancelo, Ake, Laporte, Zinchenko; Rodri, Gundogan; Sterling, De Bruyne, Foden; Bernardo Silva

UNAVAILABLE: Dias (Injured), Stones (Injured), Walker (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

West Ham still stand a chance of Europa League football next season with Man Utd just three points behind them and the Hammers represent Man City’s toughest challenge between now and the end of the season. However, Guardiola’s men proved that they are a class above most in the top flight after how effectively they took apart a strong Wolves side last time out. Although this one is likely to wind up a far closer affair, the visitors should still do enough to emerge victorious.

Tip: MAN CITY TO WIN
