THE LOWDOWN

WEST HAM

  • West Ham could be forgiven for having one eye on their upcoming Europa League quarter-final first-leg clash against Lyon, but before that they have the visit of Premier League strugglers Everton to contend with.
  • Angelo Ogbonna will miss out once again, although Vladimir Coufal and Jarrod Bowen could return following a period on the sidelines through injury.

EVERTON

  • Ten-men Everton showed the fight needed in a relegation battle as despite the numerical disadvantage they went on to defeat Newcastle at Goodison Park most recently in the Premier League, to keep themselves above the bottom three.
  • Midfielder Allan was the man to be sent off in that match and the Brazilian is therefore suspended for this one, with injuries ruling out Tom Davies, Fabian Delph, Yerry Mina and Andros Townsend

THE TEAM NEWS

WEST HAM

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Fabianski; Johnson, Zouma, Dawson, Cresswell; Soucek, Rice; Benrahma, Fornals, Lanzini; Antonio

UNAVAILABLE: Ogbonna (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Coufal (Injured), Bowen (Injured), Lanzini (Injured)

EVERTON

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Coleman, Holgate, Keane, Godfrey; Doucoure, Gomes; Iwobi, Gordon, Richarlison; Calvert-Lewin

UNAVAILABLE: Allan (Suspended), Davies (Injured), Mina (Injured), Delph (Injured), Townsend (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Begovic (Illness)

THE PREDICTION

Everton are desperate for three points to keep themselves clear of the bottom three, whilst West Ham want three points to keep themselves in the race for the top six. A draw doesn’t benefit either that much, although it would probably suit the visitors more than it would West Ham. Either way, an entertaining affair is expected with Everton looking to respond positively after being dumped out of the FA Cup in embarrassing fashion last time out. Each are likely to deploy an attacking style of play in a bid to gain that all-important win and backing both teams to score has to be favoured.

Tip: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
