THE LOWDOWN
WEST HAM
- For the second time in successive Premier League fixtures, West Ham racked up four goals as they comprehensively beat ten-man Leicester 4-1 with forward Michail Antonio shining again, gaining an assist and two goals which establishes him as the Hammers’ record Premier League goalscorer.
- From an injury point of view, West Ham have little to worry about at present, with defenders Winston Reid and Arthur Masuaku the only doubts for this game and an unchanged side is expected from the win over Leicester.
CRYSTAL PALACE
- Crystal Palace could only play out an uninspiring 0-0 draw against Brentford at Selhurst Park in their second Premier League game of the season and boss Patrick Viera suffered further frustration in midweek as his side were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Watford.
- The injury absences of both Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are clearly affecting the Eagles from a creativity perspective and Viera may recall Jordan Ayew into the starting line-up and try and provide some support for the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke.

THE PREDICTION
West Ham are currently riding the crest of a wave having started the season so well. Fluid and dynamic in attack combined with a strong stability within their backline, the Hammers have certainly picked up from where they left off in 2020-21. Crystal Palace meanwhile, are yet to hit their straps under Viera and no goals across three games in all competitions tells its own story. When taking into account the form, confidence and quality of West Ham from an offensive perspective in particular, they are expected to overwhelm the visiting backline, leading ultimately to a comfortable victory here for David Moyes’ side.
