THE LOWDOWN

WATFORD

  • The last time Watford were in Premier League action was back on December 10th following a Covid-19 outbreak within their camp and they return to action two points outside of the relegation places.
  • Both Francisco Sierralta and Adam Masina have resumed full training and should be available for selection here, although Ismaila Sarr and Ben Foster remain out injured.

WEST HAM

  • Since beating Chelsea 3-2 earlier in the month, West Ham have lost four of their most recent five fixtures in all competitions and have slipped down to the sixth-place in the table.
  • Captain Declan Rice is suspended for this fixture having picked up five yellow cards, whilst the Hammers could also be without key first team players Aaron Cresswell and Kurt Zouma

QUESTIONABLE:

WEST HAM

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Fabianski; Coufal, Dawson, Diop, Johnson; Soucek, Noble; Bowen, Benrahma, Lanzini; Antonio

UNAVAILABLE: Ogbonna (Injured), Rice (Suspended)

QUESTIONABLE: Zouma (Injured), Cresswell (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

Watford know that they have a golden opportunity here to pick up at least a point against an underperforming West Ham side and the Hornets should be fit and raring to go having come out the right end of the recent Covid-19 outbreak within their squad. West Ham are significantly weakened, particularly at the back with the absence of both Zouma in central defence and captain Rice, who does such a good job of shielding the back four. However, the Hammers will pose a huge threat going forward and an end-to-end clash looks on the cards. With that in mind, both teams to score has to be favoured.

Tip: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
