THE LOWDOWN

TOTTENHAM

  • Tottenham kept their top four hopes firmly alive in a big way with a thumping 3-0 triumph over bitter rivals Arsenal, a match which turned when the Gunners were reduced to ten men with the score at 1-0.
  • Should Christian Romero not recover from the hip injury that kept him out of the North London derby then Antonio Conte will name an unchanged starting line-up from the one which dispatch their bitter rivals.

BURNLEY

  • Burnley’s 1-3 defeat against Aston Villa last weekend brought to an end Mike Jackson’s unbeaten start at the helm and piles the pressure onto the Clarets here with relegation rivals Leeds and Everton both having easier fixtures on paper.
  • Jackson will be hoping the central-defensive pairing of Ben Mee and James Tarkowski will be available, but both face a race against time to overcome their respective injuries, whilst an ACL injury will see Matej Vydra sidelined for a significant amount of time.

THE TEAM NEWS

TOTTENHAM

PREDICTED XI (3-4-3): Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Kane, Son

UNAVAILABLE: Doherty (Injured), Reguilon (Injured), Skipp (Injured), Tanganga (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Romero (Injured)

BURNLEY

PREDICTED XI (4-4-2): Pope; Lowton, Collins, Tarkowski, Taylor; McNeil, Cork, Westwood, Lennon; Weghorst, Barnes

UNAVAILABLE: Gudmundsson (Injured), Westwood (Injured), Vydra (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Mee (Injured), Rodriguez (Injured), Tarkowski (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

Burnley are fighting for their Premier League lives and will not make this game easier for Tottenham, who may have to patient against a stubborn Clarets defence. However, the number of injury concerns engulfing the visitors could really affect them against strong opposition and as much as Burnley will fight to try and gain a precious point if not more, the class of Tottenham going forward is expected to prove just too strong to keep out with both Kane and Son no doubt in ominous mood. The hosts will have to work very hard for their three points, but should just about do enough and pile the pressure onto Arsenal in the battle to finish fourth-place.

Tip: TOTTENHAM TO WIN
