THE LOWDOWN
SOUTHAMPTON
- The Southampton defence put in an outstanding shift to hold reigning champions Man City to a 0-0 draw at the Etihad Stadium last weekend, their fourth successive Premier League draw of the season so far.
- After such an excellent showing, it would be no surprise if just one change was made for this one, an enforced one with defender Jack Stephens injured and expected to be replaced by Mohammed Salisu.
WOLVES
- Wolves could not back up their 0-2 victory away at Watford as they themselves were subject to a 0-2 home defeat last time out at the hands of Brentford and now lie just a point above the bottom three.
- The temptation for head coach Bruno Lage is whether to change his attackers playing either side of Raul Jimenez, with both Daniel Podence and Hwang Hee-chan no doubt desperate for a starting birth ahead of either Trincao or Adama Traore.

THE PREDICTION
Whilst Southampton will have been delighted to secure a precious point against Man City, they know that securing a first Premier League win of the season is absolutely vital and with home advantage in their favour, are expected to push more bodies forward against Wolves in a bid to achieve this. However, Wolves do contain serious pace within their attacking midfield with Adama Traore in particular a huge threat and he could be set to capitalise should Wolves be afforded any large pockets of space to run into. Recent matches between these two sides have proven entertaining with both teams finding the net in their last five Premier League meetings and it would be no surprise if the same outcome was to occur here at St Mary’s.
