Steve Cooper was, perhaps surprisingly, given a show of faith by the Nottingham Forest hierarchy when he was awarded a new contract despite recent poor performances, and he will be determined to repay that trust beginning with this Monday evening fixture against Aston Villa. The visitors are hardly setting the world alight right now, but they have been defensively resolute lately, and with Forest’s raft of new signings still yet to really gel as a unit, you can see the hosts being frustrated here. As has been the case in four of Villa’s last five games, a match containing under 2.5 goals looks likely.
