THE LOWDOWN

NORWICH

  • Norwich showed admirable fight at Old Trafford in their most recent Premier League fixture, coming back from 2-0 down against Man Utd to level the game, although they were ultimately beaten 3-2, keeping them bottom of the table.
  • Full-back Brandon Williams could return to the starting XI after being ineligible to play against Man Utd, but this match will come too soon for attacker Josh Sargent, who continues his recovery from a foot injury.

NEWCASTLE

  • On the back three straight home victories, Newcastle are now looking to transfer their outstanding form at St. James’ Park onto their travels having lost each of their last three away from home.
  • Winger Ryan Fraser’s hamstring injury will keep him out of action alongside players such as Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier, both of whom have now been sidelined for a significant period of time.

THE PREDICTION

Newcastle can play with freedom here having reached 40 points and on the back of a three-match winning streak enter Carrow Road full of confidence. Norwich though, have shown promise across their most recent two games, beating Burnley and scoring twice away at Man Utd albeit in a losing effort. This should lead to an entertaining contest between these two sides and backing over 2.5 goals to be scored may prove the shrewd play in this game.

Tip: OVER 2.5 GOALS
