THE LOWDOWN

NORWICH

  • Bottom-placed Norwich managed to survive a Brighton onslaught to record a 0-0 draw on the South Coast last weekend, but the point does little to avert their prospects of relegation back down to the Championship.
  • Dean Smith is suffering from a large number of injury problems with at least four players set to be ruled out, but Brandon Williams, Max Aarons and Lukas Rupp should be okay.

BURNLEY

  • Burnley fans could be forgiven for thinking that their side were doomed at half-time against Everton this past Wednesday night as they trailed 1-2, but the Clarets roared back the second-half to win 3-2 and reduce the gap between themselves and safety to just one point heading into this latest round of Premier League fixtures.
  • It would be no surprise if Sean Dyche opts for the same starting XI that triumphed at Turf Moor in midweek, with defenders Ben Mee and Erik Pieters alongside midfielder Johann Berg Gudmundsson all set to remain out injured.

THE PREDICTION

Whilst Norwich look very much doomed to the drop, Burnley still stand a fighting chance and could well move out of the relegation zone should they gain anything from this match depending on Everton’s result against Man Utd the day before. However, that win on Wednesday night will have taken a lot out of the Clarets who fought with everything they had to pick up the three points and another huge effort is required here. Should they maintain the levels of performance shown against Everton from a defensive perspective in particular, then Sean Dyche’s men will expect to gain at least a point from this game and backing Burnley to either win or draw via the double chance market should be seriously considered.

Tip: BURNLEY TO WIN/DRAW DOUBLE CHANCE
