THE LOWDOWN

NEWCASTLE

  • Newcastle are on fire right now under Eddie Howe and their 0-2 triumph over ten-man Brentford at the weekend made it six games unbeaten for the Magpies in the Premier League, with four of those ending in victory.
  • Howe will be anxiously waiting on whether Allan-Saint Maximin will be available to feature with the speedy attacker struggling through injury, but will definitely be without the likes of Kieran Trippier, Callum Wilson and Matt Ritche

BRIGHTON

  • The last few weeks have not been good for Brighton, who come into this match on the back of three successive league defeats, their latest coming at the hands of Aston Villa, who beat the Seagulls 0-2 this past weekend.
  • Defender Adam Webster is expected to miss out, although Graham Potter could be boosted by the availability of Enock Mwepu and Jeremy Sarmiento, both of whom have spent many weeks on the sidelines through injury.

THE TEAM NEWS

BRIGHTON

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Sanchez; Veltman, Dunk, Duffy; Lamptey, Moder, Bissouma, Mac Allister, Cucurella; Maupay, Trossard

THE PREDICTION

Brighton will feel like they are travelling into the Lion’s Den here, taking on a resurgent Newcastle side backed by what should be a buoyant home crowd. However, the Magpies cannot afford to rest on their laurels with the battle for Premier League survival far from over. Brighton though, have lacked any sort of offensive potency recently, failing to score in each of their last three games, whilst conceding seven goals of the process. Newcastle will be confident of being able to capitalise on Brighton’s struggles and with home advantage in their favour, back Howe’s men to triumph via the draw no bet market for added security.

Tip: NEWCASTLE DRAW NO BET
