THE LOWDOWN

MAN UTD

  • A terrible performance from Man Utd saw them beaten 1-0 by relegation battling Everton last weekend, another big blow to their chances of finishing in the top four with the Red Devils having gained just a point from their last two league games.
  • Ralph Rangnick has confirmed that Edinson Cavani, Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane are all likely to miss out here alongside central midfield duo Scott McTominay and Fred.

NORWICH

  • Norwich’s 2-0 win over Burnley last time out keeps them in with a slim chance of survival although they still have a long way to go to pull off what would be one of the greatest escapes.
  • Defenders Ozan Kabak and Andrew Omobamidele miss out through injury, as do forwards Adam Idah and Josh Sargent, although Billy Gilmour has recovered from a virus and will hope to play some part in this contest.

THE PREDICTION

Any outcome other than a Man Utd win here would be considered a monumental failure in what is expected to be an uncomfortable day for the Red Devils’ hierarchy with plans of protests against the club’s owners. On the pitch, a reaction is expected from the hosts at home and whilst Norwich are showing admirable fight in their battle to avoid the drop, Man Utd represent strong opposition despite their poor recent form and any outcome other than a home win here would be considered a big surprise.

Tip: MAN UTD TO WIN
