WATFORD

  • A late defeat at the hands of Brentford last time out means that Watford have lost five of their last six Premier League matches and look consigned to relegation with the gap between them and 17th-placed Everton now at seven points.
  • A hamstring injury keeps Cucho Hernandez out, whilst defenders Francisco Sierralta and William Troost-Ekong are both doubtful for the trip to Man City despite a return to training.

THE PREDICTION

Normally you would expect Man City’s heads to be elsewhere with that all-important Champions League semi-final with Real Madrid looming large, but such is the close nature of this Premier League title race, they simply cannot afford to divert their attention on anyone other than Watford. The strength-in-depth of Pep Guardiola’s squad should see them totally dominate this contest regardless of whether he chooses to rest a couple of players against a Hornets outfit doomed to relegation and having shipped 15 goals across their last six league matches. Back the hosts to triumph by at least two clear goals in this one.

Tip: MAN CITY TO WIN WITH -1 HANDICAP
