- Man City head into an extremely busy period of football knowing the importance of victory on derby day, which could see them return to the top of the Premier League depending on the outcome of Saturday’s North London Derby.
- A hamstring injury suffered by John Stones whilst playing for England will see him miss out and new signing Manuel Akanji could line-up alongside Ruben Dias in the centre of defence with Aymeric Laporte also absent for the hosts.
- Fresh from being named the Premier League manager of the month for September, Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag faces his toughest challenge yet since taking the helm as his team faces local rivals Man City.
- Club captain Harry Maguire has been ruled out through injury, but both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial will be given every chance to prove their fitness with a training session scheduled on Saturday.

Man City will enter this derby as overwhelming favourites, but it would be foolish to write off Man Utd, who have already developed into a well-functioning, streetwise, dangerous unit under Erik ten Hag and full of confidence after winning their last four league matches. However, the home side contain a significant point of difference which may well prove the difference between the two teams. Striker Erling Haaland was close to signing for United back when he was at RB Salzburg. The move didn’t transpire and years later, the Norwegian finds himself in the Premier League scoring goals for fun with Man City. Haaland has netted 11 goals in seven league appearances so far this season and having scored in eight of his last nine for club and country, it’s hard not to see him continuing his superb run in-front of goal. Regardless of the final outcome between Man City and Man Utd, back Haaland to score anytime.
TIP: ERLING HAALAND TO SCORE ANYTIME
