THE LOWDOWN
LIVERPOOL
- After a thrilling victory over AC Milan in their opening Champions League Group Stage fixture in midweek, Liverpool return to Premier League action here having already accumulated ten points from their opening four league games.
- Beating Leeds Utd 0-3 last weekend paled into insignificance following a horrible ankle injury to midfielder Harvey Elliott that will see the teenager ruled out for the long-term while captain Jordan Henderson may be afforded a rest following Klopp's comments about rotation in his press conference.
CRYSTAL PALACE
- Crystal Palace picked up their first Premier League win of the season in emphatic style last weekend, shocking table toppers Tottenham with a 3-0 victory at Selhurst Park.
- Making his home debut from the bench, striker Odsonne Edouard made an immediate impact with two goals and boss Patrick Vieira must now decide whether to throw the former Celtic star into the starting line-up at Anfield.

THE PREDICTION
Despite resting a number of key players in midweek, the fact that Liverpool still managed to overcome AC Milan in their Champions League encounter is a testament as to how strong the Reds are this season. The likes of Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane will likely slot straight back into the starting XI against Crystal Palace, who face a huge challenge to get anything out of these one. Whilst the pace and trickery of Zaha in particular will see the Eagles pose a threat on the counter attack, Liverpool are simply a far superior team across the entire pitch. Provided Klopp’s men show no complacency or an abnormal amount of physical fatigue following their midweek exploits, then the home side should comfortably emerge triumphant here, extending their winning run over Crystal Palace to nine Premier League games.
