THE LOWDOWN

LEICESTER

  • Leicester’s winless run in this season’s Premier League extended to four games after they throw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 away at Crystal Palace, another blow in what has been a hugely disappointing domestic campaign so far for Brendan Rodgers’s side.
  • Centre-back Jonny Evans’ Plantar Fasciitis has a strong chance of featuring, especially if Jannik Vestergaard doesn't recover from a knock, but fellow defenders Wesley Fofana and James Justin remain out.

MAN UTD

  • The pressure is on Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to guide his team to a positive result here after picking up just a point from their last two league matches, both of them at Old Trafford.
  • The Red Devils find themselves without their two first-choice central defenders in Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane, although England international Marcus Rashford could return in time to feature for the first time this season, boosting United’s attacking options with Edinson Cavani set to be rested due to his recent international commitments.

THE TEAM NEWS

MAN UTD

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Bailly, Shaw; McTominay, Pogba; Greenwood, Fernandes, Martial; Ronaldo

UNAVAILABLE: Maguire (Injured), Varane (Injured), Fred (Rested), Cavani (Rested)

THE PREDICTION

A reaction is expected from both these two sides after recent disappointing results. Neither can afford to drop points, especially in Man Utd’s case with the Red Devils currently sitting inside the top four via goal difference only. Both teams contain a huge Premier League goalscoring weapon up front in the form of Jamie Vardy for Leicester and Cristiano Ronaldo for the visitors. It bodes well for both players that Leicester and Man Utd have each kept just one clean sheet across their seven Premier League fixtures played so far and regardless of which side comes out on top, both teams to score is expected.

Tip: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
