THE LOWDOWN

LEICESTER

  • Leicester got back to winning ways in the Premier League this past Tuesday night, showing excellent resilience to beat Burnley 0-2 at Turf Moor and Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that this leads to the start of a winning run.
  • The Foxes were indebted to the return of Jamie Vardy, the striker coming off the bench following a long period out through injury to register both a goal and an assist and he is likely to feature from the start this time round, but James Maddison's participation is in doubt.

LEEDS UTD

  • An emotional week for Leeds Utd fans saw them bid farewell to their beloved boss as Marcelo Bielsa left the club following another heavy defeat this past weekend, this time at the hands of Tottenham, which has left the Whites just two points above the relegation places.
  • The Leeds hierarchy wasted no time in appointing Bielsa’s replacement as former RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig boss Jesse Marsch steps into the role, a man reportedly admired for a long time by Director of Football Victor Orta.

THE PREDICTION

It’s difficult to know what to expect in Jesse Marsch’s first game in charge at Leeds Utd, but the American needs to hit the ground running to pull the Whites away from relegation danger. However, when factoring in how often Leeds have been conceding goals in recent weeks it’s hard to imagine Marsch having had enough time to work with his new defence in plugging those gaping holes. The likes of Vardy could well be afforded plenty of joy here, but Leeds are not to be taken lightly, with plenty of dangerous offensive players among their ranks. The expectation is that this will be another high scoring affair involving Leeds, but this time the visitors could be afforded some joy themselves going forward. So with that, consider backing not only over 2.5 goals, but also both teams to score.

Tip: OVER 2.5 GOALS AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
