THE LOWDOWN

LEICESTER

  • Leicester are coming off the back of two hard-fought draws in both the Premier League and the Europa Conference League respectively against Man Utd and PSV Eindhoven, with the return leg in Holland against the latter taking place four days after this match.
  • Brendan Rodgers will be without a number of players for the visit of Crystal Palace, with striker Jamie Vardy, defender Ryan Bertrand, midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and goalkeeper Danny Ward all set to be ruled out through injury.

CRYSTAL PALACE

  • Crystal Palace maintained their excellent recent form with one of their most impressive results of the season last Monday, beating Arsenal by three goals to nil at Selhurst Park, drawing them level on points with Leicester and above them in the Premier League table on goal difference.
  • Defender Nathan Ferguson has picked up a fresh injury and will miss out but Roy Hodgson otherwise has a fully-fit squad at his disposal for the trip to the East Midlands.

THE PREDICTION

It’s difficult not to be hugely impressed at Crystal Palace’s progress under Patrick Viera. They’ve combined defensive stability with attacking potency and are reaping the rewards all over pitch. Whilst Leicester will prove a very difficult challenge, the Eagles having had a week’s rest is likely to serve them well here considering the hosts’ Europa Conference League commitments which may have an adverse effect on them physically. Three wins in their last four in all competitions including four clean sheets speaks for itself and Crystal Palace are well worth backing to gain at least a point at the King Power Stadium, if not all three via the double chance market.

Tip: CRYSTAL PALACE WIN/DRAW DOUBLE CHANCE
