THE LOWDOWN

LEICESTER

  • Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that their impressive 1-2 triumph away at Brentford last Sunday on the back of a 4-2 victory over Man Utd previous to that can give them the impetus to put together an extended winning run in the Premier League
  • Wes Fofana, James Justin, Wilfred Ndidi and Marc Albrighton are all out of action for Leicester and both Ricardo Pereira and Ayoze Perez face late fitness tests, however striker Jamie Vardy has been passed fit to play.

ARSENAL

  • Arsenal were last in Premier League action on Friday October 22nd when they beat Aston Villa 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium and since then have progressed in the Carabao Cup by beating Leeds Utd 2-0 at the same venue.
  • Only captain Granit Xhaka is certain to miss out here for the Gunners, although defenders Kieran Tierney, Ben White and Pablo Mari are all big doubts with all of them set to undergo late fitness tests alongside midfielder Martin Odegaard with all of them bar Tierney having picked up a sickness bug.

THE PREDICTION

Arsenal’s excellent recent run of form sees them travel to the King Power Stadium in confident mood having not lost in their last eight games in all competitions. However, Leicester themselves find themselves full of momentum following three wins in three different competitions heading into this one. The Foxes have beaten Arsenal ground in three of their most recent four Premier League encounters at home, so they won’t be overawed by the threat that Mikel Arteta’s men pose. It hasn’t quite been the start, to the league season Leicester would have wanted back in August, however Brendan Rodgers’ side have started to show signs of clicking together and they are more than capable of gaining at least a point here with home advantage in their favour, so consider backing Leicester to win or draw via the double chance market.

Tip: LEICESTER TO WIN/DRAW DOUBLE CHANCE
