THE LOWDOWN

FULHAM

  • After losing 3-2 in a thrilling encounter against local rivals Brentford, Marco Silva’s Fulham are set for another London derby here as they welcome league leaders Arsenal to Craven Cottage.
  • Full-back Cedric Soares is ineligible to play against his parent club and Joao Palhinha remains suspended, so Marco Silva could well field the same starting XI who featured at Brentford.

ARSENAL

  • Arsenal continue to find ways to win at all costs and a dramatic 97th minute goal saw them come from two goals down to overcome Bournemouth 3-2 to maintain a five-point lead over Man City, although that may be whittled down to two points by the time this match kicks off.
  • Both Kieran Tierney and Martin Odegaard was recently struck down with illness, but both are expected to be available for selection, whilst both Leandro Trossard and striker Eddie Nketiah are extremely doubtful.

THE PREDICTION

When considering how Arsenal managed to triumph over Bournemouth, you can’t help but feel that this may well be their season. They boast a never-say-die attitude that has been the hallmark of previous Premier League champions. Fulham though, are enjoying a fantastic season and pose another significant test for Mikel Arteta’s men. When factoring in the confidence and belief within Arsenal’s dressing room and their recent winning run, the Gunners should be backed to come out on top here, but only via the draw no bet market for extra security.
