THE LOWDOWN
CHELSEA
- Chelsea’s 0-3 victory away at Tottenham last weekend was a huge statement of intent from Thomas Tuchel’s side, who have now recorded 13 points from a possible 15 so far this season
- An injury to first-choice goalkeeper Edouard Mendy saw Kepa Arrizabalaga deputise against Spurs but Mendy has recovered in time for this match, while Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic are both absent.
MAN CITY
- Man City saw their three-game winning run in the Premier League come to an end last time out after being held to a disappointing 0-0 draw at home to Southampton, which saw them slip three points adrift of their opponents here.
- Boss Pep Guardiola has a number of injury worries heading into this one, particularly in defence with John Stones, Aymeric Laporte and Oleksandr Zinchenko all serious doubts alongside Ilkay Gundogan and Rodri in midfield.

THE PREDICTION
Ever since Thomas Tuchel has taken charge at Chelsea, the Blues have had the better of Man City, beating Guardiola’s side three times in three different competitions, including most notably the Champions League final last May. The defensive solidarity of the hosts has seen them concede just one goal in the Premier League so far this season and Man City are likely to struggle breaking Chelsea down in this one. When also taking into account the presence of a proven striker in Romelu Lukaku for Chelsea, who will punish the visitors if afforded any clear-cut opportunities, Tuchel has all the tools within his squad to mastermind another victory over Man City. However, Guardiola’s side are not to be underestimated and the smart move here would be to play it safe and back Chelsea via the draw no bet market.
Tip: CHELSEA DRAW NO BET
