THE LOWDOWN

CHELSEA

  • League leaders Chelsea continue to march on despite a number of injury issues, winning each of their last four Premier League fixtures, racking up 14 goals and conceding just once in the process.
  • Strikers Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner remain out of action for the Blues as is midfielder Mateo Kovacic, full-back Marcos Alonso and possibly Mason Mount, who is unwell.

BURNLEY

  • Burnley come into this one on the back of finally securing their first Premier League victory of the season at the tenth attempt, beating Brentford 3-1 at Turf Moor.
  • Following that win, the Clarets aren’t expected to make any changes for this one, with midfielder Dale Stephens the only confirmed absentee while Aaron Lennon is a doubt with illness.

THE PREDICTION

Whilst Burnley make the trip to Stamford Bridge with confidence and belief following their much-needed win over Brentford, Chelsea provides a challenge on an entirely different level. Thomas Tuchel’s side are looking every inch a team that can go on and win the Premier League and having found the perfect combination of offensive firepower and defensive solidarity, they look unstoppable right now. The visitors won’t be the easiest side to break down, but it would be a huge shock if the Blues don’t eventually break through and go onto secure a routine victory.

Tip: CHELSEA TO WIN WITH -1 HANDICAP
