THE LOWDOWN

BRIGHTON

  • Brighton were not in action this past weekend after their match against Tottenham was postponed following an outbreak of COVID-19 within the Spurs camp, making it 11 days since the Seagulls last played in the Premier League, a 1-1 draw away at Southampton.
  • Centre-backs Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk will be unavailable for the visit of Wolves with the former suspended and the latter injured, however in better news, Adam Webster stands a chance of being fit and midfielder Adam Lallana could be fit enough to feature from the bench.

WOLVES

  • Wolves put up a good fight against league leaders Man City at the Etihad Stadium this past Saturday, particularly with them having been reduced to ten-men in the first half following the sending off of striker Raul Jimenez, but were ultimately beaten 1-0 by the reigning Premier League champions.
  • Jimenez will now be suspended for Wolves’ trip to Brighton and will join the likes of Jonny and Pedro Neto on the sidelines.

THE PREDICTION

Goalmouth action in matches involving either of these two sides in recent weeks has been hard to find with both boasting strong defences, but a lack of potency among their respective attacks. Brighton’s last five league fixtures have seen under 2.5 goals scored, which has also been the case in each of Wolves’ most recent six Premier League matches. The same outcome has to be favoured in this one, especially when taking into the account the absence of key forwards players such as Welbeck for Brighton and Jimenez for Wolves, so back under 2.5 goals.

Tip: UNDER 2.5 GOALS
