THE LOWDOWN
BRIGHTON
- With their match away at Brentford last weekend petering out into a 0-0 draw, Leandro Trossard conjured up a last-gasp winner, the Seagulls’ third win in four league games which took them up to sixth-place in the table heading into this latest round of fixtures.
- The match against Leicester will come too soon for full-back Tariq Lamptey, with defender Adam Webster also set to be absent, although striker Aaron Connolly could recover from injury in time to feature.
LEICESTER
- Three days after Europa League action, Leicester travel to the south coast in what is an important match for them, with the Foxes having only accrued six points so far this season, three less than their opponents here.
- Ayoze Perez remains suspended after his sending off away at West Ham earlier in the campaign, whilst defenders Wesley Fofana and James Justin remain long term casualties and Jonny Evans is now a doubt after suffering a recurrence of a foot problem.

THE PREDICTION
Brighton will be hoping to be taking on a Leicester side slightly fatigued following their European football exploits just three days ago, although the Seagulls will be wary of their poor recent record against their opponents, having failed to win in their last nine matches in all competitions against Leicester. Apart from their horror show that saw them ship four away at West Ham, Leicester have defended relatively well this season when taking into account their injury problems. They face a side who themselves have conceded just three goals in the 2021-22 Premier League thus far and a cagey encounter may be in prospect with both teams well aware of their opponents’ respective qualities going forward. With that in mind, under 2.5 goals should be serious considered here with three of Brighton’s four league games this season ending this way.
Tip: UNDER 2.5 GOALS
