THE LOWDOWN
LIVERPOOL
- Liverpool got their season off to a great start with a 0-3 victory away at newly promoted Norwich City, combined attacking potency with defensive steel.
- Mohammad Salah was the star of the show for the Reds, scoring the third goal and setting up two goals for his teammates.
BURNLEY
- After taking the lead against Brighton at Turf Moor, Burnley will have been desperately disappointed to lose 2-1 after a second-half comeback by the Seagulls.
- Centre-back James Tarkowski opened the scoring for the Clarets as their biggest attacking threat unsurprisingly came from set-pieces alongside the pace and trickery of Johann Berg Gudmundsson.

THE PREDICTION
For the first time since March 2020, a full Anfield crowd will take in a Premier League match as Liverpool host Burnley. The Clarets defeated the Reds 0-1 in this same fixture last season, however that was with no fans in attendance and it’s difficult to see Sean Dyche’s side repeating that feat here. The front three of Liverpool looked in good form against Norwich and whilst Burnley may prove slightly trickier to break down, another comfortable win for Jurgen Klopp’s men is expected by at least two clear goals.
