THE PREDICTION
Southampton recorded a thrilling 3-2 victory over Burnley last time out and with key attacking players back fit and in the starting line-up, the Saints look like imposing opposition once again. They’ll be hoping to back this up against West Brom, who themselves triumphed at the weekend in one of the shocks of this season’s Premier League. The Baggies were trailing 1-0 to Chelsea, but after centre-half Thiago Silva was sent off following a second yellow card, the Baggies went on to ruthlessly take advantage, running out 2-5 winners at Stamford Bridge. Still 19th in the Premier League and well adrift of safety, all West Brom can do is keep winning to give themselves any chance of staying up. This should lead to an entertaining clash at the Hawthorns with West Brom having no choice but to sacrifice defensive stability and gamble in a bid for three points. Whilst this could see them gain success going forward, Southampton will no doubt be afforded a number of big chances themselves as they look to take advantage of any extended space in behind. With that in mind, both teams to score looks very much on the cards.
