THE PREDICTION

A crucial match for both West Brom and Newcastle in their respective relegation battles. The 19th-placed Baggies currently trail Newcastle by nine points and need three points here desperately to close that gap. Unfortunately for Sam Allardyce’s side, fatigue could play a detrimental part for them considering that West Brom play three days earlier on Thursday night, whilst Newcastle have not featured in Premier League action since last Saturday. The Magpies may be at full capacity from a physical perspective, however a number of key injuries within their attack will prove a massive blow to them going forward. This may well lead to a blunted Newcastle frontline in this game, which West Brom could be in prime position to take advantage of. In what will prove a cagey affair with so much at stake for both sides, home advantage being in the Baggies favour may end up being the difference, so West Brom draw no bet looks a shrewd pick.
