THE PREDICTION

A 2-0 win for Man City over Aston Villa made it eight straight victories in all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s side as they now sit second in the Premier League table with a game in hand on league leaders Man Utd. They cannot afford to let their foot off the pedal and will be determined to continue this run against lowly West Brom. The Baggies desperately need a positive result for their own reasons, as they currently sit in the relegation places. Whilst a question mark currently remains over the fitness of key City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, it is the defence of Guardiola’s side that has proved so impressive of late, having kept eight clean sheets in their last ten Premier League matches. The visitors will be confident of at least finding the net even with De Bruyne and providing their defence remains as solid as it has done in recent weeks, then Man City should come out with another clean sheet and more importantly the three points.
