THE PREDICTION

Southampton vs Leicester is a fixture that will send shivers down the spine of every single Saints fan after last season saw the Foxes romp to a 0-9 victory at St Mary’s on a Friday night. Naturally then, this match has been conveniently scheduled to take place at the same time of the week, with Leicester in red hot form having won their last three games in all competitions, including a narrow 1-0 win over Southampton in their FA Cup semi-final encounter at Wembley. Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side in comparison have lost their most recent three fixtures and to compound matters, may be without star striker Danny Ings for this one. Leicester know that three points would take them ten points clear of West Ham in fifth-place and move them one step closer to Champions League football in their next campaign. Whilst the visitors aren’t expected to triumph here by a margin as wide as they did last season, Brendan Rodgers’ hugely talented and confident squad should have more than enough quality within their starting eleven to secure their third win of the season over Southampton in all competitions.

Tip: LEICESTER TO WIN
