THE PREDICTION

Sheffield Utd have had plenty of disappointing performances this season, but arguably their worse came at the weekend as they were soundly beaten 3-0 by Southampton, leaving them still with just one point to their name at the foot of the Premier League table. Following their UEFA Champions League exit a week ago, Man Utd responded on Saturday with a solid display in an uneventful 0-0 draw against local rivals Man City. The Red Devils have now picked up 13 points from a possible 15 available in their last five league matches and are starting to advance up the table rapidly towards those all important top four spots. The visitors have little excuse for error here against a Blades side mentally and physically drained, with manager Chris Wilder having shown no signs so far of being able to stop the rot. Providing they show no signs of complacency, Man Utd should not only win this match, but win comfortably by at least two clear goals.
