THE PREDICTION

A dismal Arsenal performance saw them comprehensively beaten 0-3 by Liverpool in their most recent Premier League fixture and Mikel Arteta’s side will be determined to make up for such a poor domestic result with a dominating performance against Sheffield Utd. The Premier League’s 20th-placed club put in a promising showing against local rivals Leeds last weekend, but couldn’t keep up with the Whites over 90 minutes and fell to a 2-1 defeat which could have been worse considering Leeds enjoyed 23 shots on the Sheffield Utd goal. Whilst Arteta may be tempted to make a couple of changes following their Europa League quarter-final first leg just three days prior to this game, whatever Gunners side he fields should be more than capable of securing a comfortable win at Bramall Lane against a team resigned to their fate of relegation come the end of the season.
