THE PREDICTION
It has been a strong start to the season for Newcastle as they have beaten West Ham in the league and Blackburn in the League Cup while keeping clean sheets in both matches. The feelgood factor after their transfer activity is improving around the club and competition for places in the squad is better than it has been for some time. They welcome Brighton here and Graham Potter’s men will hope to bounce back after losing to Chelsea in their opening game. His preferred starting eleven is not completely defined and they have been disrupted by a couple of injuries to White and Lallana. That may hamper them a little in these opening games so the Magpies have to be favoured here to continue their bright start to the season while there is every chance there will be goals at both ends of the pitch.
